Amenities in Idyllwild, CA
Lodging and Camping
This course is offered at Buckhorn Camp, a traditional camp located about one mile north of the town of Idyllwild. Lodging is not included in the tuition cost, and you are welcome to make any type of arrangements you prefer, including commuting to the course on a daily basis.
Buckhorn Camp is offering two types of lodging options:
1. Dorm-style lodging is available, in traditional camp-style dorms, on bunk beds in a dorm with other students (private lodging is not available at Buckhorn). Dorm-style lodging is available for $21 per person, per night.
2. Tent-camping is available at the camp as well- you may bring your own equipment or vehicle, and camp on site at the cost of $15 per person, per night.
In either case, you will have access to bathrooms and showers. Note that if you use the kitchen, bathroom and shower facilities regularly during the course, you will be charged for the tent camping fees, even if you do not actually stay at the camp.
Though we request notification of your lodging plans, payment for Buckhorn Camp is not necessary until the start of the course.
Many other camping or lodging options exist in and around Idyllwild:

Meals
No meals are included in this course, however there is a large, fully-functioning kitchen available for your use. There is plenty of refrigeration space, as well as cooking stoves and clean-up facilities.
In nearby Idyllwild, you will find many small stores, including grocery stores and restaurants, with a somewhat limited selection. You may consider shopping ‘off the hill’, and bringing your supplies with you to the course.
Amenities in Orange County, CA
Lodging and Camping
This course is offered at O’Neill Regional Park, part of the Orange County network of parks, located about 25 minutes east of the I-5 & 405 split in Orange County. Lodging is not included in the tuition cost, and you are welcome to make any type of arrangements you prefer, including commuting to the course on a daily basis.
O’Neill Regional Park has traditional campsites available with water and hook-ups, at the cost of $15 per site, with one vehicle. One additional vehicle can be added for $5 per night. (There is a required $12 reservation fee for all campsites.) At the start of the course, you may arrange to share campsites with other students.
There are bathrooms nearby, as well as a modest shower facility.
O’Neill Regional Park does not currently take reservations for their campsites, however the campground is rarely full. For more information about O’Neill Park, call: (949) 858-9365
If you do not camp at O’Neill, there is a daily entry fee of $3 on weekdays, and $5 on weekends. This fee can be avoided by parking outside the park, and walking a short distance to the class.

Meals
No meals are included in this course. Inside the class area there is a small sink, counter space, microwave, and a refrigerator where you can store food.
There are many stores and restaurants located within a ten minute drive of the course.
